Yes. I think that all laws should have an "Expiration Date". This is one of the things that the Founding Fathers could not have thought of: they lived in a world that did not change as readily as ours does. The result of a lack of expiration of laws is that we are saddled with a lot of outdated or whimsical regulations that accrete like sediment on the rails of innovation.

in my experience ... my best estimate is having a requirement

that all laws expire in 10 years unless ratified. . that would

keep us on point. . amending the constitution would

not require 10 year ratification, so we might consider

Sigh. This is always the case. Perhaps the root of the problem is that people who are rational are not as excitable as liberals. So the first people who rush to the polls are the liberals, then the conservatives mosey along, then...maybe...some objectivists decide to be counted.

So, new idea: We need to figure out what will cause a flash panic in the Libertarian and Objectivist crowd.
