I agree with your last point wholeheartedly. Are you conceding that there is no evidence that the Mexican government is not deliberately sending rapists across the border and that there are, in fact, very few convicted felons coming across illegally? Those are two of the things Trump seemed to be saying.

I am going to cut up my Macy's card and mail it to their CEO. I'd love to see millions of people do this. Two can play the game. These fools don't realize how dangerous this kind of censorship will be.

Illegal entry is a crime (a misdemeanor), but that certainly is not the point that Trump was making. He went out of his way to mention the crimes he was talking about and they were all serious felonies, drug trafficking, rape, etc. There is absolutely no evidence that the Mexican government is deliberately sending people across the border ala Castro at Mariel. The percentage of people illegally coming across the boarder while committing those crimes (e..g. while smuggling drugs), having already committed those crimes in Mexico (e.g. convicted rapists) or committing those crimes once they get here (e.g. raping people after crossing the border) is minuscule. The characteristic they all share is extreme poverty. Virtually all illegal crossers have little or no money or anything of value on them when captured.

Equal rights- special treatment; my rights trump everyone else's
Illegal- just good folks who want to come to the U.S., and don't really want to get free stuff paid for by our tax dollars

Thank you for that exposition. If the PC Police had their way, we would be unable to criticize anyone no matter how heinous their activities.

If Trump becomes president, the opposition might try to hire a lion tamer. Everything about Mexico that Trump said was true, and NBC knows it. They just hate his gaudy guts and would look for any excuse to hurt him.

What is all the fuss over. Illegal immigrants broke our law and are therefore criminal. It is getting so nobody can say what they think without someone getting their feelings hurt and calling out the thought police.

The political correct police just got the confederate flag removed from history. What is next. It seems like everyday it is another thing that caused false outrage.

If people like Trump can not say what they think we will be back to a bunch of candidates that say nothing but platitudes and end up doing nothing to fix our country if elected. We desperately need Trump or someone like him if America is ever going to be a great country again.

Since NBC stands for just about everything I deplore I could not care less what they do. If I were Donald Trump and running for the nomination on the republican side I would not want to be associated with those left wing lunatics any way. Secondly, Like NBC can afford to lose one of their biggest cash cows with all that Trump brings to them in the form of his TV shows and pageants? Anything to change the subject. What is the definition of illegal? If it's a problem then change the official meaning of the word. Hashing it over and over again without doing anything else only creates division, exactly what the politicians want, while they continue to draw their pay.

Southern California is already turning into subdivision of Mexico. Maybe Mexico should just annex it and get it over with.

Why do we hear so little about our border with Canada? Are Canadians illegally entering the US and taking over specific areas too?

What kind of immigration should we control? Or should we just open our borders to anyone that wants to come? What so other countries do? Can you just walk into China, Russia, Great Brittan, Czechoslovakia?

I'm unclear as to what he was saying at all. I listened to him address this set of issues several times. At various points he seemed to be saying: (1) The government of Mexico is deliberately sending criminals to the US (like the Mariel boat lift); (2) The eleven million illegal immigrants already in the country are overwhelmingly criminals; or (3) Those coming over the boarder today are overwhelmingly hardened criminals. I truly don't know which he meant, but I do know all three statements are incorrect.

I have many Mexican co-workers that are LEGAL immigrants and they don't think it's fair that the illegals get a pass and all of the efforts they made to become a legal citizen was for nothing. And as far as the writing on the Statue of Liberty, that was given to us by the French because they knew that America was a vast land and someone needed to fill it. And that was true... 125 years ago..

I found his remarks outrageous. and I stand with my mexican friends who were initially insulted and now are just laughing. People want opportunities. He should have been a good businessman and said secure the border, streamline the immigration process. He should have recited Emma Lauzurus' famous poem:
