I got one of those window markers and wrote "Who is John Galt? In theaters 2014" on the rear windows of my car. Hope to get some attention.

Often, I have heard people discussing some issue, action, or thing and then reach the point where they would appeal to principle if they were thinking rationally. Having never been trained in how to think rationally or having been told they don't need principles, they give up. They say "Who knows?" I usually reply "you do, you know, if you just think about it." Then I proceed to help them identify the principle involved. I have come to view the phrase "Who knows?" as the real life equivalent of "Who is John Galt?"

Be glad I like you - that begged for a TD. ;-)

I don't get it. The Whin... er... Niners started strong, then fell off the map like they were stoned or falling asleep, and only came back in the last minute and change. Why couldn't they have played the entire game like they did in the beginning and at the end? It was like after the first quarter they became, I dunno, like good socialist workers while the Seahawks proceeded to clean their clocks and set them to Seattle Time tike a gang of capitalists in full production mode. Bleah. (Still not happy that we're not seeing Green and Gold out there, but I digress...) Maybe it's that Sacramento Influence...

    So... Denver or Seattle?

All done & dusted. Painting finished, house is spotless. 6 months, bless. My son & 2 daughters (God help me) are 7, 5 & 3. It's busy round here ;] & I've got a long wait for grandkids.

True, but one would think that a proposal of some set of candidates that one had never heard of (for most) would draw some query. I think most are such Sheople that they don't even care.

I also use a Galt/Taggart Forever avatar on several sights. Get an occasional like for that, but really don't get any reaction - rather disappointing actually.

I walked into the gas station to get a cup of coffee the other day wearing my WIJG t-shirt and had a young guy, barely 25, notice. He got an ear to ear grin and asked, "Does you're shirt really say, 'Who is John Galt?'" We had a brief conversation and he said he had just finished The Fountainhead. I was pleasantly surprised. I told him about the Gulch, not sure if he found it or not. Good to see a younger person who doesn't have his cranium firmly lodged in his rectum.

    Hello richrobinson,
I like it. I hope you aren't hassled over it. We know there are those out there including some in law enforcement that might... wouldn't want to see your car keyed by some collectivist extremist...
    Regards,
    O.A.

I'm not a big bumper sticker guy, but back before the '12 election I put "Galt/Taggart '12" stickers on the rear window of all my automobiles. Got a few thumbs up on the highway, but no real interaction with anybody.
Sadly, I also had a "If you enjoy your freedom, thank a soldier" magnet stolen off the back of my pickup. I hope they at least are displaying it on their vehicle.
