Parents Outraged Over Sex Ed Poster In Middle School
why do these stories always come out of Kansas anyway?
"It takes a special kind of stupid to teach children that vaginal sex and anal are examples of an abstinence-based curriculum."

Oddly, I hope my kids, now 5 and 3, encounter it first in Gilgamesh, in parallel with the Our Whole Lives program at church. Hopefully by 13 they'll be getting a bit of the critical thinking skills to evaluate msg from the gov't, pop culture, Internet, etc; and they'll make lots of mistakes in the process. Even if they go to public schools, which we're not ruling out, a sign at the public schools won't outrage them or us. The world is run by people who show up, and I insist they show up and do something, even things I don't agree with. Passively reading gov't signs is not acceptable.
A sign stating the simple truth is no big deal whatsoever. The shocked and appalled people would have been shocked and appalled by something, so let it be this sign.
"It’s the parent’s job to parent, not the schools.", Mr. Ellis said.
This really seems like an attempt to test the waters of parental outrage. I'd like to talk to the creep who hung that on the door and thought it was okay. Really???
The gov has NO business discussing different types of affection or sex. If you REALLY want to make sure your kids get taught what you want them to be taught and not a bunch of other junk then HOME SCHOOL. A=A.
