Not Sure Where My Sentiments Lie, but Humorous In Any Case

On one hand, I similarly consider police to overstep their authority, and flag burning should not be illegal. On the Other hand, I would not likely burn a US flag, and think the idea of disarming police is comically stupid.

In any case, cheeky protesters being squared away by bikers, and then ironically protected by those snubbed is entertaining.

The protesters should be waving flags instead of burning them b/c the flag stands for the law and liberty and stands opposed to police abuses.

The author seems to miss this point too, treating the protesters, violent counter-protesters,and the police as mobs wanting their way. How ironic, the authors say, that gang B attacked gang A who was protesting game C, yet gang C sided with gang B. To me the flag stands for an environment where laws protect people's right to express unpopular opinions without fear of being attacked.

I pledge allegiance to the flag ...

    Horsefeathers.

    Keep your statist flag.

I want a flag of liberty instead.

    Don't Tread on Me.

And don't expect me to pledge allegiance to any damn flag
