New comment posting rules now in effect.

We have some new comment rules coming into effect today. Very simply, if a member's total point count is too low, that member's comments will be automatically hidden. Also, if an individual comment's points are too low, it too will be hidden.

These hidden comments all come with a "View Comment" link so other member's can still read and reply at will.

Members whose total points are too low have the ability to bring their scores back up by posting good content.

Its actually based on how much they submit, correct. It shouldn't be. it should be based on the Quality of their submitted content, not the quantity of their submitted content. There are people here with tons of points and everyone of their submissions is 0 or negative. That needs to be corrected as all you will do is get the site filled with garbage content, just so they can get points.

    That's not exactly true:
each post that JGISSD makes is one more chance that I get to downgrade him.

RE: " It should be based on the quality of their submitted content(or points next to their topics) and not just how much content they submit."

That is exactly what it is based on. "How much" content they submit is irrelevant.

Shouldn't the posts they submit have to reach a certain amount of thumbs up in order to receive points for their account in order for this to make sense? Otherwise people will just put up the same thing over and over again just so they can have enough points. It should be based on the quality of their submitted content(or points next to their topics) and not just how much content they submit.

Great idea! We all have a right to speak. No one has a right to be heard.

It IS pretty hilarious that I continue to get more responses per post than any other contributor to this site, even though my comments are all hidden. lol.

Thanks, SD... For some that would be quite the mountain climb, but then again, when you dig yourself into a deep, deep hole by your own volition, then you have the right and honor of digging yourself out of the mess you created!! Thank you!

So, what you're saying is that I have to click twice to downgrade JGISSD's comments.

Oh well, it's a burden I'll just have to set my jaw and bear.

    "good content" lol

Websites with real ethics and quality of character don't need to play such childish game.

Rand valued individual effort, not group-think. You squash that "production" whenever it disagrees with popular sentiments. That makes this website (and the film) everything Rand despised.

You should be made aware at this point however that you are not the only ones making a film that encourages the participation of Rand cultists. lol.

Everything posted at this website is volunteered and therefore considered in the public domain.
