An employer does not normally take a reverse-Parthian shot at someone. "He took advantage of our generosity and our empathy, and we reached the end of the road" is not the smart way to part company. Do you not rather say, "We determined that his health issues were irreparable and were such to prevent his returning to the grueling schedule of a regular television show; we wish him well in his future endeavors"? That's the way it's done. This "Bad speed to you! sendoff is just. Not. Done.

Perhaps they should consider Fox’s token liberal, the uber-liberal clown, Alan Colmes, for the job.
That was a couple of years ago but I kinda recall that prompting me to pick up my remote and start channel surfing.
