- 1Posted by DFish 13 years ago in reply to this comment.It's 2 hours away from my back door. I would never be able to convince my wife to move there. Stanley, Idaho is routinely the coldest city in the lower 48 during the winter. Not uncommon to see -50 to -70 temps. Brutal.| Permalink
