I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...

Remember, a GOOD LANDING is one that you can walk away from.

A GREAT LANDING is one where you can use the airplane again...!

I didn't much past Cessna 150 for the flying part but I used the same sentiment and took off but didn't land in C46 and C47, C119, C123, C130, C141 and C5A, Also the Beach Baron , Caribou, Cessna 172, Huey and Chinook helichompers and reversed the whole thing one time by landing in an airplane but taking off via Skyhook.thank God for pilots or I would never have made it. All my efforts ended in usable aircraft and 'I ain't gonna jump no more.

Welcome to the Gulch. We take all manner of people !

Hi John and welcome. It sounds like you're a private pilot. Way cool. Got a Berkut 540? Super cool if you do. Wish I had one. :(

      Yep, been flying since 1951... AT-6's, A-36A's (Korea), C-47, DC-6B, Cessna 210, Bede BD-5, BD-5J, and Mooney M20... 9845 Hrs TT...
The Berkut with the IO540 engine must be a blast.
Not flying anymore... '80' Years, too many meds (no more medical)... A smart man knows when to quit... Mine was about 12 years ago... Missed flying for a while, then bought a 30 foot Catalina sailboat... Love sailing, no fuel bills, no noise... Still look up whenever I hear an aircraft engine...
      Cheers, ...John

Wow. You flew the DC-3? I'm envious. If I had the $$, I would have my own fleet. But, that isn't how life went for me. I would love to get plans for the Berkut, but...excuses. You're wise to know & accept your limits...I sometimes have difficulties on accepting mine.

Welcome to the Gulch. Thanks for chatting.
