This is a huge victory in regards to the RAMPANT voter fraud occurring in Ohio, and has put on notice other states. Note the slap in the face of the Ob administration.

I love these people who fight the good fight for the accountability of our bloated deceitful government.

"Under the terms of this groundbreaking settlement, the people of Ohio can now rest easier that their elections will be cleaner, beginning with the 2014 elections."

Note it says "cleaner" and not "clean." While I applaud their efforts and results, with the move to electronic digital voting machines I will never trust an election to be clean again. It is far too easy for ones and zeroes to be manipulated in any way that a controlling entity wants it to be. I believe it is the reason that so many communities in the past national election produced more votes than there were voters. There is not doubt in my mind that there was enough fraud in the 2012 election to make a difference.

This assumes that they actually comply with the settlement. My bet is that they go back to doing things the way they always have. It will take follow-up lawsuits and putting people in jail before any real change will happen. Just my humble opinion.

It would seem to me that voter fraud would be hard to do. Your state ID with a picture on it and your SSN card should be all you need. But it would seem that not enough! What is wrong with this program that it can not cross check Name, and SSN number with address and the SSN Adm? Anyone that has a problem with those requests, should not be voting in the first place!

    Attributed to Stalin:
"It's not important who votes. It's important who counts."

This quote is not well sourced, and could be apocryphal. Snopes has a page about it:

Regardless, the methods for "testing" electronic voting systems generally are not open to public scrutiny, unlike the old paper-ballot system which had at least a fair chance of being done honestly.

This "settlement" reminds me of a fable, where the animals of the forest caught a Pike and put him on trial. The Pike was accused of being an evil fish - it ate smaller fish, terrorized everyone in the river and in all respects was evil. Many animals presented witness testimony and the jury did indeed find the Pike guilty. The next question was how to punish the guilty Pike. Well, after much deliberation and more witness testimony, it was decided that the crimes committed by the Pike deserve the capital punishment and it was agreed that he will be drowned in the river!
The point of the fable? The voting in Ohio (and elsewhere) was criminal. People committed willful criminal acts that had substantive results. In all societies, in all countries and in all ages, wherever the rule of law was ever respected, the punishment for willful criminal acts has been jail, fines, or worse. But in our new America, the punishment for willful criminal acts is to put the criminals in charge of their own "improvement"! The Pike must be jealous!
