    What would George Clemenceau say? "Defense is too important to be left to the military"? On the other hand, does the revelation of the problem and the scandal validate the process of command, control, (and remediation)? By the Objectivist theory of psycho-epistemology, the situation must be worse in Iran, Russia, and China. So, given, the orders to launch, it is likely that nothing actually will be launched ... and humanity breathed a collective sigh of relief (individually 6 billion times).

      I agree defense should not be left to those trained for the primary purpose of killing people. The civilians in command, like the POTUS and the SecDef are annoying sometimes, but necessary in the chain of command.

      I would not bet on that. If the balloon goes up and someone launches I think we are all done for. Humanity would have destroyed itself.
