"Connolly said it was inexcusable for TSA screeners to bark 20 orders at him and other travelers during his last trip over the weekend – back up, put your hands up, take your shoes off – without saying please."

Bend over, please

Oh I think you have more than a clue. I think you have most of the answers... and that hubby of yours! Wow! I think he has the rest. I am seriously impressed. The thread he has been devoting so much time on reads like a fight among Titans...

I hope they do privatize the TSA. I am of the opinion private companies can run anything from healthcare to toilets better than the government.
This whole TSA thing as it is has honestly made me quit flying anywhere for any reason.

Screening jobs aren't that tough. I did it for a long time and I didn't have to be rude either. Even when I found contraband I kept it professional.

notice how nobody talks about the American war the way they talk about the Iraq war or the Afghanistan war?

This war on terriers had 3 fronts at one time; Iraq, Afghanistan, and the U.S.
For years the left has called to shut down operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and bring the troops home...
But not a peep about bringing the TSA troops home from the airport.

Transfer security to the airports, allow people to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights while on board... I don't think we'd be any worse off than we are now.

"Screening jobs are tough because the staffers must be constantly alert for contraband while still providing customer service, Hoggan said."

What "customer service" do they provide? Who exactly is the "customer" in this case?

He, like so many, don't notice until it happens to them personally. This would have been a perfect time to mention it though. But siding with Rand on anything in Washington is taboo. WEAK!
