I'm surprised they care. I wish the networks would cover it too b/c if they really dug into it people would discover we don't have any good plans to deal with it. It's odd that politicians even want to face it. They only approach anyone has right now is to reduce emissions, which a) is a drop in the bucket and b) is hard to do w/o forgoing production. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes unless it's just a desire to do the right thing, which isn't my first guess.
