What is the current view of Libertarians on drug legality? I'm more focused on their views of citizens controlling government rather than the left wing socialist fascist version of government controlling citizens.

correction 70's was the flower power decade with Vietnam ending in 1975 and LSD available on every street corner in San Francisco

70's had DDT until Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring turned her into a greater mass murderer than Lyndon Johnson.

Cell phones, internet and personal computers were the main difference followed by UPS and Fedex - Amazon.com and world wide dropship marketing.

the national debt was 300 billion not 18 trillion.

It was also when the baby killers were protesting returning veterans instead of offing the little tykes themselves using late term abortion.

The antiwar crowd ALMOST got rid of the draft then for whatever reason quit.

    Hamburgers were still 25 cents.

A new car was two thousand dollars or less.

One could buy a house on a fair size lot for under $20,000

Not much difference from today really. Just same old same old dressed in different clothes.

We had Nixon now we have Obama.

Of course my perspective starts in the 50's.

Lots of things were different in the 70s.
    No cell phones.
    No personal computers.
Lots lower population (less crowding, less traffic, maybe less stress)
    No chemtrails.
    No GMO foods.
    No cable TV.
    No internet.
    70s had DDT.
70s had climate change (global cooling then ;^)
Coca Cola had sugar in it, not corn syrup.
Too many variables and not enough scientific method testing. ;^)

Prescription meds, from what I understand, are usually being taken by people who go on shooting sprees. Is that causation? No. Coincidence? Probably not. Chicken or the egg... I don't remember all of these types of incidences back in the 70s. Do you?

Want to eliminate all these apparently random acts of violence?
Give everyone free pot and munchies.

"This drug is also sold illegally on the street and police say this is how Roof came into its possession"

    Roof came into its possession???
Is the writer saying that Roof had some drugs or that some drugs had Roof?
Does anyone competent teach these hacks to write or to read what is written before they publish it?

Such incidents are so incredibly rare it's impossible to draw any conclusions. I believe this has nothing whatsoever to do with drugs.
