Though you might have to have a PhD in Economics to really understand everything, the author does a good job in highlighting via simple slides the real state of the US economy and the dynamics of inflation vs deflation. What might be of particular interest to Gulch readers is the notes about how deflation and inflation basically cancelled each other out prior to the elimination of the Gold Standard, meaning that investments retained their face value - a circumstance not enjoyed in the United States in decades.
