Thank you all for your suggestions! Perhaps it is time to tell you all who the first person I would invite to Atlantis. Actor, musician and humanitarian Gary Sinise.

Excuse me but the government has so intruded in so many areas that there is no possibility of getting a launch site without government being involved. A 50 year leas is common for such a facility. There is no private alternative.

Probably Elon Musk despite some of his unfortunate remarks on things he knows little about.

Hi khaling. Yes, Elon. I’m not offended he digs under every rock for funding because he is reaching for the stars. Space exploration is a bottomless wallet one must constantly be able to dig in. May he never reach rock bottom in that wallet!

But... as for me inviting him to the Gulch...

He is a brilliant, inventive and creative soul that I would love to witness him engineer how things move in the gulch...(even if it’s the plumbing.)

hi mimi-long time. really, Elon? everything he does is govt backed, granted, funded. the latest was getting a launch site from a govt 5o year lease deal. can this guy do anything privately funded anymore? what happened to his stellar disruptive amazing startup days?

What a great question. What a tough answer. We were never told how John Gault would have made his selections, only who the Characters were, and what they had accomplished. Would you invite the major heads of successful corporations? Like James Taggert? Who really makes companies successful? Who really gets things done and causes the effect we know of as "progress". Remember in the reality of the book, or the movie that Dagney Taggert was a subordinate (at least in position), or that Quentin Daniels was a night watchman at a university. Seriously this would make a great board game.

As someone that owns several small businesses and invests in Real Estate; I will introduce you to about 90% of the Small Business People in Real Estate that I know They would love to separate you from whatever money your have. John Gault had it right; be very selective.

Whom would I invite? It's such a big if bc I'm no Galt, just a wannabe. Maybe I would look for people who have a history of managing a series of startups, with the intention of soon opening it to anyone willing to take the Oath.
