aren't these just crimes? . does the term "hate crime"
carry with it the hatred of the P.C. police or our
Social Justice Warriors? . is the term useful only
for social change purposes? -- j

Back in the day when we had plain old 'crime'... Now those were real criminals.

We give names to all kinds of motivations. In the end, however, people who commit crimes do so because they refuse to admit the reality that they are in control of their own lives and can make them better without infringing on others' rights. They look at everything as a zero-sum game instead of as a collaborative where both can receive value and be better off.

Well Said!!! . except that robbing a bank because
that's where the money is ... doesn't involve much
hate, in my view. . just avarice. -- j

we might call them "compassion crimes" -- stealing
from you to benefit those who deserve your
compassion, whom we will identify for you. -- j

and the double (jeopardy) election of BHO sealed
the irony -- everyone is further enslaved by the

    smells a lot like 1984 to me. -- j

p.s. two charges equals two crimes, to me.

To me hate crimes are an affront. just as having greater punishment for taking the life of a law enforcement officer. Are we not all equal under the law? A crime is a crime. I care not of the specific motivation. The fact that there is a motive, any motive, is sufficient corroborating evidence and nothing more. Unless of course you believe that "all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"

All crimes are motivated by some form of hate: hatred of others or hatred of self. When you accept that you are who you are and others are who they are and that you can't change anyone but yourself, hate disappears because reality sets in. "Hate crime" is really both an oxymoron and a redundancy.

The bigger problem is in attempting to heap extra punishment on a crime because of a certain inference made by the prosecutors as to motive. The purpose is to turn an objective/identifiable verdict into a subjective verdict and pervert justice to suit the agendas of those in power.

How did the party of slavery (the peculiar institution); the party of Jim Crowe; the party of income tax (the ultimate slavery) become the party of black people?

The 13th & 14th Amendments ended slavery; the 16th reinstated it!

Truly outstanding observation. Need to push that narrative! Much more damage is done by "love crimes" than by "hate crimes."

Recent history (since the 60's) shows you can pay people to be poor. And huge numbers of people are willing to be poor for a few dollars a month in cheese and an Obamaphone.

Racism is an invention of the left, starting with The first progressives, Teddy and Woodie. So it follows that what ever they accuse or wave finger at reverts back to them, not you...you just reminded them of their own faults. But invariably, Their mindless set is 180° opposed to ours. I suppose that our 'dislike' of them or anything they feel guilty about is like a slap upside the head ie. 'Hate'; and unfortunately, doing so does not re-boot their brain...

It does make me wonder if the leftist definition of racism/sexism (so that wanting truly equal treatment is racism/sexism) will be made to count for hate crimes.
