I suggest that airlines should start adjusting fares based upon weight of passenger and luggage, with a specific fee per pound of carryon including the passenger and his carryon, and a lower fee per pound for checked luggage, assuming they want to encourage checked luggage. Of course, they could also start adding a fee only above a certain weight, too.

    Hello freedomforall,
I don't get it. They keep making the planes bigger so when one crashes more people die... One would think a larger plane would have more space. Soon they will expect everyone to travel like this guy. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/no...
I don't want to sit next to him... Is that prejudice? :)
    Regards,

Carry-on is the one remaining way that an individual can reduce his exposure to the jackbooted thugs of the TSA and get out of the airport area within an hour of landing. Paying three times the price for a ticket to fly is not an acceptable answer for most hardworking people.

You have my condolences on your suffering on both flying and living in the federal socialist region of Hawaii, ISank ;^)

I just got off a 9 hr flight and I live in Hawaii so I gotta fly. Glad to see Hawaiianair is not on the list but here's my 2 cents. Earn enough to fly in the comfy seats, they lets us carry anything we want.

    Have fun!
