I'm not a physician, but I do work around them and I have noticed some doctors posting fees for service for patients paying cash up front (usually at a discount) for example, an MRI center I work with has a flyer advertising an MRI with radiologist read for $450. Their facilities are modern, clean and they have all new equipment and a board certified radiologist. That's a pretty good deal and it saves the doctor all the extra admin work of insurance billing. It would be nice to see a movement of physicians doing this for all of the most common services. Until of course, a law is passed that bans physicians from doing it.

Well, it appears we have that cavalcade of excitement in store if we continue on the path our misguided, nay, evil intentioned, dear leader has put us upon. Yippee! Oh, and have the IRS down our pants as well.
