This is an excellent movie about the navigation prize and example of what happens when you do not have a patent system or have a politicized patent system.

    Hello dbhalling,
    I watched the movie in its entirety last night. It was terrific. The inventor, Harrison's struggles, the bureaucratic obstructionists, cronies, the troubles of Gould in restoration... Excellent history lesson and a very moving humanistic story too.

    Oh, this looks good. I watched a movie, I think from BBC, years ago about Harrison and what he had to go through, especially since he wasn't of the gentry class. I don't know if this is the same, but it will be interesting just the same. My Sunday night movie tonight. Thanks for posting it.
