Maine Could Soon Have No-Permit Concealed Carry

In my state you can open carry. You can even open carry in a bar. You can not conceal carry in a bar.

What are your thoughts on no permit for concealed carry. Discuss.

Hello RMP,
When someone can easily inflict death with one properly placed blow by hand, or any of a multitude of solid objects... what difference does it make? The difference a gun makes is to equal the odds when faced with a brute. Does the criminal intent on creating mayhem abide by the existing laws and keep his gun visible?

It is about time! So they are finally going to eliminate an unconstitutional law that took away a natural right to self protection. Hope it makes it.

  It passed the Republican state senate but not the Democrat house. The last time this bill came up it failed in the house.
  
  Maine is dominated politically by the far left and viros with their open ideological support for force of government as the means to deal with people to control them, but still retains a strong popular support for gun-rights and hunting.
