Interesting story behind the fellow.

I have mentioned it before here in a post, but I also was less than impressed with him as John Galt. Part of that comes from decades of using my own imagination to formulate my own image of him. Part of it is because the era makes me picture the man with a bit more dignity and poise. The shirt tail hanging out, the 5 day stubble beard look so in vogue right now (either shave or grow a real beard, goddamnit), it just didn't fit a character with huge self respect and demeanor that I picture for John Galt.

Having said that, it has been great seeing Atlas Shrugged brought to the screen, flaws and all. Let's hope the mini-series has the backing and staying power to build an even better version.

One more reason why he was such an unconvincing John Galt.
