I'm actually kind of surprised that she would try to push this on a Republican House rather than wait until after the 2016 elections when the Dems are likely to pick up seats due to Republican infighting and lack of backbone. That being said, this is a dangerous bill for a couple of reasons including an infringement on the 2nd Amendment and an obvious quid pro quo.
