A consumer strike (on non essentials) would also be effective in collapsing the financial system, but getting women to stop buying shoes is a significant barrier to success.

In several other threads recently, the subject of applying a resonance-based approach to collapsing the looter/moocher system was discussed. Health care expenditures are almost assuredly the area to which such stress could be applied to maximum effect.
