If you ever have seen one, or remember them, the Constellation was probably the most beautiful plane ever, and I was amazed at how much of todays technology was initially tested on them. There are still a few around but not many.

I am hoping they get the one to Oregon. The Spruce Goose is awesome enough, but a Connie would be great.

I never got the chance. The Mcminnville Air Museum that has the Spruce Goose has one in North Dakota they are trying to restore and fly in for it, but they haven't finished yet. I hope to volunterr with them after I retire.

Actually you can do a search for Constellation history and a website
    http://www.conniesurvivors.com/
and they list the still flying ones. This is probably the one you saw:
VH-EAG – C-121C – Restored in Tucson, AZ by the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society from 1992 to 1995 and flown to Australia in February 1996. Aircraft currently airworthy and an active participant in the Australian airshow circuit. Here's a video that catches her in action.
    Additional aircraft information

I saw one in Sydney AU. It was 1997. It was air worthy at the time.

I flew on a Constellation to my first job interview out of college. "Up, Up and Away With TWA." I am older than dirt!

I enjoyed that stroll down Amnesia Lane, Nick!

There's a Super Connie on static display (in Lufthansa livery) at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida. If you're in the area, check it out! It's very much worth the time if you're any kind of aviation buff.
