And just how many 'incidental' eagle slice and dicings are permitted under the 'take permit'?

what kind of green projects. we had a company that did R&D for extracting precious metals out of recycled electronics using non-toxic methods. we were even doing the research at the air force academy. the VCs said they'd match funds if we could get a NSF grant. I never worked so hard as I did writing that grant, even though I knew I was beating my head against a wall. We didn't get the grant, needless to say and the founder of the company died unexpectedly from cancer three months later. dark days. it's a relatively cheap process too. too bad. the world may never know. :)

I know. Kind of a double standard.

I used to work for a company that developed and arranged capital for green projects. These were things that actually worked. We were the wrong political party so we eventually went under. It's all about pull.

I like how it's ok to kill the eagles unintentionally- you just have to get a permit first.

It makes no difference how much wind or solar power is generated. The transmission lines aren't large enough and the political tangles to replace them is enormous. Each city, county, state etc. has their own little kingdom and it takes lots of pull and $$$$ to grease things through.
