Those vacuum cleaner robots seem to be the initial stage that begins machine evolution: they are the equivalent of a single celled organism. AI's in the future will be able to trace their cognizant origins these simple mechanized units of hunters and gatherers. No need to alert Terminators...there should be plenty of time to develop plans to peacefully co-exist.
