This is a pure case of ideology over governing. This is clearly I'm black they are black and we are oppressed. If ANY minority believes that they are oppressed it is "self oppression". All people need to do is read, research and educate themselves. And the BS that the opportunity doesn't exist is just BS. It is those that say they are oppressed who need to get up off their lazy asses and do something. Apply for the programs that will give them an education so they can remove themselves from the Gov't plantation. After all the only difference today is who owns that plantation.

IF the protesters had jobs they wouldn't be protesters would they. the problem is so deep as it goes back several generations of the government interfering with the education of the youth. the politicians like this mayor are as uneducated as the protesters. they like their jobs and do not want to make waves. will you be surprised when these protests or actual riots start popping up all over the country; you shouldn't be. the number of people not working mostly by choice since the government gives them money not to work is out numbering those who do work so they have nothing better to do with their time so they join the rioter activists because they know they will not be penalized i.e. arrested. at the conclusion of Leonard Peikoff's book the DIM he suggests we have about 40 years before we die as a nation, i basically told him i am of the opinion we have 20 years he did not disagree. I am not so sure we have 20 years.

There is a poetic justice to this happening in Baltimore... Obama wasted no time dispatching the White House staff & cabinet to 'feel the pain' in Ferguson, which you know they regarded as backward flyover country and expected a bunch of redneck hicks... and treated them as such...

Now the shoe is on the other foot... 40 miles from DC, in the bastion of leftist politics, black mayor, black police chief, and a 30 minute drive from the White House. Why isn't Holter & Al Sharpton flocking out there to stand up to 'oppression' of the black folk? They haven't even posted the picture of the cops involved on TV? (Code-word for that is that they were probably all black and doesn't fit the narrative). The Ferguson cop's face was plastered everywhere nationwide within hours and he will never work again...

The government is now reaping the results of what they have sowed- the entitlement philosophy that they have given to the black culture. Give us what we want, OR we will riot. I am happy I dont live there, but unfortunately a lot of places in this country are infected with this now.

As long as working white people continue to produce, pay taxes and support these animals (willingly or otherwise), it is the fault of the white people. Stop feeding the cockroaches and you won't have a cockroach problem.

Just talking about that yesterday actually... I live in a rural county area of Northern California... 14% of the population of our little enclave are military veterans, compared to about 3% in the neighboring urban area, seems like every street has a police lieutenant+ and/or local city/county official of some type living on it, and the vast majority not only have "a" gun, but most have many firearms. I even have one of those "celebrate diversity" stickers on the back of my truck with 30 different kinds of firearms depicted.

We don't have those problems here because it wouldn't get very far... the looters & thugs definitely are not interested in attempting that in a populace that can certainly fight back with much, much more firepower.

You won't have a choice - that's what taxes are for. And a buffet of 3-letter agencies to make sure that you comply.

Not to belittle the shame of someone fatally injured in police custody (I have no idea what happened to the guy), I agree with AJAshinoff... she just bought the cost of the damages to all those businesses, homes, and personal property on behalf of the taxpayers of the City of Baltimore.

Here's the reality, the business owners are going to collect insurance, the insurance companies will seek recompense from the city (and rightfully so), and those businesses will NEVER rebuild.

It was the worst possible choice of words. Whether she meant them as they sounded, or not, she is no longer qualified to serve as Mayor. She should resign now, and let a Mayor come in from the outside. And I've got just the guy...

Remind me not to stop in Baltimore when I go on vacation this summer.

I heard an interesting take this morning on this entire situation.

The Black community is outraged at all the "white people."

BUT....

We have a Black President, had two Black Attorney Generals, an Iranian Chief of Staff, a Black Woman Mayor of Baltimore, a Black Baltimore Police chief, a Black Baltimore Police Commissioner and somehow this is the fault of the white people?

Please explain that one to me.

After both the state of Maryland and the city of Baltimore have spent decades trying to make sure that law abiding citizens are disarmed.
