compassion, like everything else, is political. . . their goal is power, so compassion is aimed at those who will either vote for them, or give them money. . imho. -- j .
Here's the first handgun I bought back in 1974 when I was a rural county newspaper reporter receiving phoned threats for some of my crime stories. This was before star 69 was offered by Southern Bell. Two crooks I recognized (and wrote about) actually attempted to attack me in a laundromat. I had my back to them but I was watching their reflection in the door glass of a dryer. When one shook his head and chickened out, the other one did too. That did it! I drove to a gun shop in Tuscaloosa the first Saturday that came along. Guess it figures I never had to use it. Never had to unconceal it for a fact.
Sig makes very accurate firearms. That one is a good 10 oz lighter than the Firestar, so the recoil may be less fun but carrying may be easier. I had one of these some time ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_Sauer_P...
Yeah, with "only" 424 horsepower I might only last about 3 seconds as well. (innuendo intended) But I'd still like to try out a 700HP Challenger Hellcat just for the fun of it. To hell with the public's feelings. Eh?
After I got rid of the derringer, I used a .32-cal. Beretta Tomcat as a pocket pistol for a couple of years until I gave it to one of my sons. That Tomcat is beautifully accurate!
My assault weapon of choice is my ball bat that will assault one. I use my guns for defense and hunting its our constitutional right. A judge or a group of judges cannot take that away they may say they can. But try. Their are millions of us out here who will have the last say.
High capacity, heck it's only got the little engine, only 424 horsepower. I can't imagine why anyone would want anything more powerful. My wife screamed the first time I tried to see what it might do. Starting at 70 mph I floored it (for about three seconds) I thought it might take to flight (scared me too) so I backed off. Yet I do not deny any one the right to have more horses because it might "make the public feel safer, and that's a substantial benefit". And yes, I do enjoy ranting quite a bit these days, that's what a Corvette and retirement does to an old person, allows you to rant.
If I recall it was more than sufficient against the poorly trained FBI in Florida. (Maybe poorly trained is the wrong term, but they responded as if they were clueless according to reports.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1986_FBI_Mi...
I have to praise the Star Firestar 9mm in starvel for concealed carry. Its not a derringer by any stretch of imagiination, but for a small frame semiauto its very accurate. Maybe too heavy for your needs though. That weight really helps with control management of recoil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Firest...
4 moa is normally sufficient for likely ranges they would be used at. Not really designed or setup for real long range use. Both 4 moa or 2 moa would be insufficient at the High Desert Shooting Match however.
The dispensing of compassion is based on need, of course. And you seem to have had more than your fair share so you don't need anymore. Unless you're going to go into manufacturing solar panels. Then there will be plenty of "compassion" to go around.
For many of us, you'd so as well as type in Cyrillic after translating from English to Urdu.
"Thanks."

I'm on the verge of buying a 9mm Sig Sauer for a compact pocket pistol or something like it.

To those of us with any brains, of course, the absurdity in this is obvious.

If there ever was a reason for State Militia's and the Second Amendment you are seeing it now.
But I think your Corvette is considered high capacity. Just sayin.
