Some may see something ...ist and ....phobic about this comment. But I like it enough to, almost, give it a point.
    Three cheers for Mark Steyn.

Bring it on, you are so right. The ACLU has been around since about 1930 and it's founders wanted communism. In 1924 their Roger Baldwin called it a "right to advocate violent revolution, assassination, proletarian Red guard" in the search fro free speech. Norman Thompson teamed with them in the 1940s to call for the end of Capitalism. Their goal was communism and conformity. They called for the social ownership of property (much like the UN Agenda 21 does today). They only backpedaled after surveys showed the majority of citizens were not in favor of communism. They tried to clean up their appearance, but remain anything but devoted to the Constitution. Rather, they are devoted to socialism to the max.

When Al Queda takes over, GLAAD will be the first to go (off with your head), then Rev Sharpton and Rev Jackson's racist-in-reverse entrepreneur groups, and then, any woman who thinks they don't look pretty in a burka (poetic justice for actresses. And I say Amen to you brother, John Emerson!

I heard somewhere, or read it, these groups being referred to as "professional outrage groups". All that needs to happen to shut them down is use their own tactics against them. Expose them in any way possible for the hypocrites and phonies that they are, and sue them in court for any statement made in their effort to "normalize" their position, claiming discrimination for whatever the opposite side happens to be.
ACLU is another matter which needs to be dealt with by gaining as much info detrimental to the principals as possible and published one way or another. The internet and social media is the perfect outlet for this type of campaign. Shouldn't take long to dismantle that commie organization.

I am so sick of all these publicity seeking groups, who want to control someone, and help no one. Thank you John, for being a reasoned human being. My family had gay friends in the early 50s, and they were people, not members of some group seeking retribution for something. The same was true of then Negro friends. Respect has to come from what the person is and does, not what group supports him (or her, since we will have feminists up in arms, if we do not qualify). I remember gender studies coming in when I was in college, and feminists going crazy for them. As a female, I avoided them like the plague. Gag!
The ACLU has a history of communist support, that should say it all. Anyone who makes color, gender, sexual orientation, or anything less than the whole human being the focus, is suspect, in my book. Let the leaders express themselves, but give them no legal hold over the free speech of others. Any business who falls for this crap will definitely lose my business, period!

From in the closet to in our face in 10 years. I am sick of this crap. Each group wants special treatment. It started with the blacks, then women, then wetbacks, now the homo's. When do the white, straight males get their SPECIAL treatment. Sorry we have: we have been getting shafted for 50 plus years.

I recall the old saw "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." I'm a gay man, old enough to remember Stonewall. GLAAD started out with the best of intentions, but they've gone so far overboard they're a parody of what they once were. Whatever happened to "I disagree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it?"

Sitting down with Glaad grants them the recognition they don't deserve.

I think this Phil Robertson situation is just the straw that broke the tolerant camel's back. And none too soon either.
