Has anybody else seen this? I just did for the first time and it really grabbed me. I put this under Philosophy, right or wrong. What are your thoughts?...

I recently heard an explanation that when you no longer allow a theory to be challenged with science you don't have science - you have religion. This is a definition that has served me well. Slightly different paradigm. But, this willingness to not only not challenge the status quo, but attack anybody who might question it...religion in my book.

I agree with the danger of statism and that it shares some traits with religion, but I don't think statism is a subset of religion. (I only watched the 1st half so far.)

Thank you posting the link. This is my first landing in the Gulch and the YouTube video is the first thing I clicked upon my arrival. Whether it is a cult or religion, there are certainly citizens that worship at the alter of the State, and they seen to actually believe that the primary motive of the ruling class is altruism, when the obvious motive is power and self enrichment.

Not a religion but a cult. There are such things as political cults that use the same mind control tactics as religious cults. Independent thought is the bane of the cult leader(s).

And, be warned - parts of this are tough to watch. Not safe for kids!
