    Uhm, honest, when I posted my merry Christmas post, I hadn't read this post and I can't read Latin (I sometimes try to fake it...)

    The translation is included.
    It literally means "Peace on Earth to Men of Good Will", which is a little different than the standard English translation of the phrase.

    No, its the usual bread I make for family birthdays.
    I'm just making it for Christmas as well this year.
    Sourdough white, wheat, or rye.

    our kids are here and we say merry christmas and we have a big, over the top meal-after a hike in the hills. tonight a bonfire on the beach is on tap. sips of porto and swigs of of glog.... what is christmas bread? like braided with sugar and dried fruit?

    Not this year.
    But she did get what she asked for, mundane stuff.
    I'm currently baking Christmas bread like a Soviet trying to reach his weekly unrealistic quota.
