"Speak on any scale open to you, large or small— to your friends, your associates, your professional organizations, or any legitimate public forum. You can never tell when your words will reach the right mind at the right time. You will see no immediate results—but it is of such activities that public opinion is made." - Ayn Rand

p.s. yes, I was spoiled -- Dad was rational,
to a large degree, and he passed it on.

You were a rich, spoiled son of a capitalist. Or the son of a working class. Or maybe you just didn't have class. Wait! -- Now, I'm confused.

The difference between reason and religion is that reason requires effort, religion is given to you to respond to on faith. It's the difference between delivering newspapers and getting an allowance. (pun intended)

isn't it fun explaining how human nature is the same
for both believers and non-believers? . people steeped
in religion are confident that it changes everything,
but a rational thought can endure even religion.
    sometimes. -- j

Not to brag, but I don't bother with fanatics or Jesus converters. They have to exhibit a modicum of intelligence. The responses I get are: A) A good tenet B) Food for thought C)How does God figure in that? D) I heard she was a hater who promoted selfishness. I don't respond to "D."

I sure hope this doesn't mean I'll have to get an account on FacePlantBook to post here. Because I refuse to do it.

Whenever I use a quote from A.R. in my communications with non-gulchers I get my most interesting responses from Borrn-Agains, or devout Christians.

it's always fun in FB land when I meet a fellow gulcher by their given name. I always have to ask-who are you? then they tell me and I say-"oh I know you!" such fun. liked and shared. let's keep the heavy discussions going in here!
