A brilliant performance of a brilliant composition by Mozart. How many pieces of music written today can we expect to be listened to several hundred years from now ?
I pull it out once a year or so and inspect it and wipe it down with some guitar polish. I keep the strings and the bow slack. Other than that, I keep it in a cabinet in the same room I store my firearms. Humidity and temp controlled... I don't know if that is the best I could do for it, but it has worked so far. I have a great/grand niece that is studying and I hope to hear it sing in her hands when she is ready.
wow. You should find a violinist and have them play something on it so you can appreciate its age and quality. how does one care for old string instruments?
Awesome! I love violins. I have one that has been in my family for almost two hundred years. In my hands it sounds like two alley-cats fighting. :( Fortunately my guitars are more friendly... :)
Thank you.
like the President says-
You didn't play that
