Who here has seen the movie "The Passion of Ayn Rand?"
Personally, I think it's an incredibly movie, and after seeing it, I really want to read Barbara Brandon's biography on which the movie was based.
Has anyone else already read it? If so, what did you think? :)

- 1Posted by khalling 11 years, 7 months ago in reply to this comment.I agree. with MM. although the events are the same, the directors' interpretation was to portray the intent of the characters differently than Brandon interpreted her own experience with these individuals. I read the book when it first came out and was angry that she wrote it. Later when I was older and by then a parent I reread it and enjoyed it.| Permalink

Art is a SELECTIVE recreation of reality; and the director chose to give various events different focus and meaning than Barbara Branden did. The events are the same. Their meanings are not. I enjoyed the film, but I would not recommend it to anyone who is not familiar with Rand's life and works.| Permalink
