It collapsed Oregon's much ballyhood medical program. The one that prioritized need and cost then drew a line selecting that which could be funded. Then the locusts arrived from the other states......

My husband is an economist. He worked as a chief economist for a state legislature and deputy state economist. He has said for years the economic collapse is deliberate and that republicans and dems are both in on it for whatever reasons. I don't see how you can fight it because our elected officials are corrupt. We don't stand a chance of changing anything in my opinion. How could you do anything to change it? I'll listen.

Worse they will use the worst of capitalism and the worst of socialism providing neither group with their promised goals and in the end re-establish the self perpetuating aristocracy in as the new establishment elitists. A return to feudalism as a result and all else is bought, rented, leased, marginalized or destroyed.

By claiming to be a two party system but not admitting to it's one party/coalition nature .

By claiming to retain the constitution but with the ability to turn it off with a flip of a switch either whole or in part.

By building, expanding and maintain a shield wall or protective echelon as powerful as the regular military - just in case or in cases where civil insurrection control is needed without question or reference to oaths of office.

By co-opting or destroying any viable opposition and if necessary partially accepting the strongest into the Government Party as long as complete control is established and lots of support is garnered as one of the prices of membership.

By accusing others of what they see when they look in the mirror.

By controlling education, the media, even or especially dictionaries and creating a public that considers all of that unimportant.

Plug the rest in as needed. The flush your vote mantra. What vote? The give them a chance mantra. After a hundred years of failures. The attempts to legitimize buying and selling votes. The public did that to themselves.

Their income to their way of thinking is infinite. Yours follows the old saying I'm all right what's yours is mine and what's mine is me own.

Your choice...whipped dog or lap dog

First I asked what is a FFP and why do I care?

Then I looked and found out I don't

But if there is ever a contest for Queen of the Moochers I'll consider support. NOT

Who does she think is going to support all of that? The Little Red Hen of The first Little Pig?

She won't condemn it because she still believes in it.
She just doesn't want anyone pointing the finger at HER when the country goes down the drain.

See presents her argument without saying what it meant or didn't mean. However, I believe the title speaks for itself really!! "The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty" advocating increased enrollment in social welfare programs in order to collapse that system and force reforms, leading to a guaranteed annual income.

Dr. Piven is afraid. We're on to her. She knows it. And suddenly she doesn't think her program is a thing she can wisely brag about.

Piven's deflective talking points makes me think of slippery Hillary's brand of evasive blather.
Just toss your hands in the air and say something like "It was more convenient" or "What difference does it make?"
Nothing happens to such Marxist kinda people these days.
Even the enabling DOJ is coated in Teflon.

What I noted was the distinct _lack_ of any kind of of denial that his conclusions were correct, however. Just a pathetic attempt as misdirection using character assassination.

I don't fault her & her academic partner for *discovering* the strategy that bears their names...

However I *CONDEMN* them both for not renouncing the conclusions as evil, the derivative works as atrocities, and the implementers of the strategy as criminals against humanity!

A bitter old woman trying to redeem her name, but without remorse it's clearly too little and too late.

The voices tell Piven she's not part of America's destruction, just as the voices spoke to the copilot of Germanwings 9525.
In both cases, the people were/are locked out from stopping the terrifying descent.

In the grand scheme this all makes sense. I have studied, in pretty great depth, how our economy has been run over the past four decades and I never could, for the life of me, figure out what the intentions could possibly be. I didn't want to believe a collapse on purpose. But...it was always in the back of my mind. Only recently did I really take note of Cloward/Piven. It all makes sense now.

I think she's enjoying all this. And, I think she's talking in circles. She really thinks she's smarter than everybody else.
