S. E. Cupp points out some things about Ben Carson that I was not aware. I have thought that he would be better suited for a position in a new administration and not the Presidential candidate.

That's right. I believe he also complained, as Senator, that raising the debt ceiling to 9 trillion was un-American.

For me Carson had already slipped from #1 to #3.
Until now I did not know of his desire to tinker with the 2nd Amendment.
IMO, he just greased his spot on my personal presidential totem pole lineup.
Buh-bye, Ben, enjoy your slippery ride down.
I thought your voice too softly spoken for a candidate anyway.

The Democrats get the typical Republican candidate on that all the time. If the Republicans made the arguement about freedom and liberty they should run away with the 2016 election. Doubt that will happen.

He is forthright and courageous, Accomplished and literate, and he is a self made man who is black. Those are some of the reasons he is so attractive to many Conservatives. But, there is no doubt his lack of experience and knowledge makes for one who would be easily defeated in a hot political debate. However, I would think he'd do well in a cabinet position other than being dismissed as Surgeon General.

Then-Senator Obama complained about exactly that. And Bush II wasn't even doing nearly as thorough a job of it.

I'd be perfectly happy to draft Mia Love as a candidate (if she'll do it, and not wimp out like Palin did).

Carson is a typical conservative who is more interested in making the US a theocracy than restoring the constitution or our Natural Rights, particularly property.

Excellent thought, Rich. Perhaps someone will take a hint from you and do that.

Not sure if it is dy design but you are right. That is exactly what he is doing. This an important election and I hope we get at least a tolerable candidate to vote for.

I can't help but think Ben Carson is just being used to syphon off money and votes from actual viable candidates. I wish people would look beyond the puppets and see the puppet masters.

Because their bread and butter depend upon them giving all Dems/regressives a pass.
They are submissive little lap dogs, who are actually afraid of the answer. Shall I go on? ;-)

If only he was female. Then he'd be perfect for the GOP.
    (The above is sarcasm.)

It sure would be a good question to ask, reid, pelosi, bidden, warren et. al. The press would be in constant meltdown, and the tampon supply would be short from that idiot using them as ear rings everyday.

I have wondered why the press has not asked the question of Democrats---"would you be comfortable with a Republican governing the way Obama is?"

He has shown a tendency to make major mistakes when talking to the press. This election is too important and if she is right about him wanting to "limit" the 2nd amendment I just don't see how he can get elected.

That is how I've viewed him. Surgeon general seems to be an appropriate fit for someone with his expertise. I just don't think of him as a presidential candidate at this point. I think there are others who would be a better choice.

Sadly, I feel that the drubbing that our Constitution has taken over the past ten years or so has made our country ungovernable by anything short of a monarch or dictator, benign or otherwise. Precedent has now been set; executive actions have been taken despite actions to the contrary by the legislature, so now all bets are off. Bread and circuses for the masses! We will now decend into mob rule.
