S. E. Cupp points out some things about Ben Carson that I was not aware. I have thought that he would be better suited for a position in a new administration and not the Presidential candidate.

    Conservative - Make change slowly
    Liberal - Make change swiftly

    May be left or right

What the hell ever happened to the dictionary?

    Strike One - He's a Republican
Strike Two - He talks like a Democrat
Strike Three - I fear he's like the new breed of candidates that think ignoring or passing statutes equals amendments.

    So far... they all flunk.

I think you are getting Carson confused with Mike Huckabee. He was an unabashed Born-Again Christian Bible-thumper. I don't hear Carson constantly harping about religion (values yes, religion no), but maybe that's just me.

For me, Scott Walker is currently top of my list with Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, with Jeb Bush and Chris Christy at the bottom. I also like Allen West.

I think the only reason the Golfer fared so
well is because he was the FIRST black (half)
    presidential candidate. Does anyone think
he'd have fared so well if he were white? I
can't believe he would = not with his poor
    qualifications..

As usual, the only say voters will have in the 2016 election will be the lesser of two evils. At least, Carson might slow the tide of socialism.

The best person for the job is the one that does not want it, yet cannot stand by and watch any longer.
Dr. Carson is not that person.

That is why Cruz intrigues me. He is extremely intelligent and a great debater from what I read. Sounds a lot like Ayn Rand. I'm not sure he'll win the nomination but may be a perfect VP pick.

I'm not sure a Republican black candidate would fare as well as Obama did. I have often thought Condoleezza Rice would be a perfect candidate. Unfortunately she is smart enough to not want the job.

It's a shame but you are right rich. The GOP has so many talking points to throw against any democrat that it should be a slam dunk. But they will want to play nice so they won't bring them up, Except for maybe Ted Cruz,

"Shall not be infringed". I guess the new English has changed the meaning of that word too.

I had not heard his second ammendment comment before either. It just about makes him unelectable as a Republican. He can serve elsewhere in an administration where his views on this won't matter.

At the risk of being tabbed a racist, Ben Carson has an extra burden against him In any run for president. He is black and I'm sure that with the racism and law breaking of Obama just before the elections it is going to count against him. He'll still get 90+% of the black vote.

You're absolutely right Herb. We shouldn't gloss over what he did at the prayer breakfast. That took courage. We have all seen how Obama goes after perceived enemies. I think Ben said he has been audited a couple of times since. I'm sure he is having his entire life investigated. I still hope he is not the nominee and I hope he stays out of the race. I feel he would be more of a distraction.

His heart is in the right place, his brain is that of a great surgeon with a good heart. I don't even care about party anymore, I just want someone that is going to work towards getting back to the basics of the constitution, someone that isn't going to try to regulate lamas now. We need to also look at age, there are a lot of what I would think of as being "too young", and too little experience, too political. If only there was a way to take specific attributes from several candidates and put them together in one. Perhaps its time for a robot or a computer, but who would do the programing?
