Obama's Other Orwellian Obsession
This is an excerpt, the full article is available on straightlinelogic.com, and by the link above.
In an equality-of-outcome world, some animals must, in Animal Farm’s memorable phrase, be “more equal than others.” Capitalism’s inequality stems from the natural inequality of productive ability. The inequality of the egalitarians stems from arbitrary law and force. Obama’s vision yields impoverished masses subservient to a small cadre loyal to him, hearkening back to Stalin’s and Mao’s utopias―an unjust inequality far greater than anything that could exist under a capitalistic system.
Like many a South American dictator, he diverts attention from the failure of his end-of-a-gun policies, shouting that some people in America have more money than others, and that the “haves” have no claim to their money while the “have nots,” represented by their friend the government, do. The ACA’s mandated increases in insurance rates and its many taxes virtually guarantee a resumption of the depression that started in 2008. Obama may be pandering to the have nots because he realizes his policies will create many more of them. The economic dangers are increasing and, given the record of prior egalitarians, so too are the threats to our remaining civil liberties. Watch out―2014 will punish complacency.
