Sometimes you have to stop worrying about such things. I've gotten to the point that I'm so whizzed off at what's going on I've stopped being concerned, and silent about it.

I found keeping a small "can of horn" near the phone for solicitors to be very satisfying ( the dog disagrees). We`re on the do not call list.

It also occurs to me that at 80, life in prison might not be much of a deterrent.

Season Five focused on the resolution of the individual players' destinies following completion of first the Shadow War and then the Telepath War. If you're not into that, it's pretty tough to stay with, I agree.

I recently saw Jupiter Ascending (which got terrible reviews but was a good movie) and it made me realize how great B5 would be if it were re-made with our current effects tech. I would like to see B5 as a mini-series that recapitulated the main arc, but was able to include some of the threads that JS had to cut (from season 4) because of threat of cancellation.

The purpose is to remove cash from circulation - make it all digital. That way, should we have another crash the gov't can seize your accounts to use as payments on the debt, or to prop someone up.
I've been withdrawing cash for awhile because of this. Other than to pay bills, there is no reason to have excess cash in a bank. It earns no interests and you can't get at all of it if you wanted, and as you can see, they can restrict how much you can have at any given time.
Another reason for Bitcoin. I have bitcoins, and a bitReserve account that I can use to move bitcoins into other currencies, gold, or silver. BitReserve removes some of the fluctuation of bitcoin out of the equation. I don't know if bitcoin can go the distance, but I'm going to do my best to support it.
Cash out, and look at other currencies, now before they tighten up the restrictions.

Yup. The very same scenario plays out in Babylon Five (the TV series). I want to say season three. The President has been effectively assassinated and the VP takes over and is actually working for a Shadow government (the primary antagonists for the first several seasons are called the Shadow). He institutes Brown Shirts on the space station reminiscent of Hitler's Youth or Mao's communists or Stalin's KGB. They are paid for informing on everyone in the space station to a pseudo-leader. When people are always in distrust of each other, it effectively eliminates and movement to oppose or question those in authority.
