Voluntarily force ! Anyway- I recall that in AS this was part of Directive 10-289. In life, an employer who cannot fire will not hire.
This is an effect seen here when tradesmen just will not employ another person whatever the size of their order book and prices they can charge. Bigger businesses cut full time jobs and use contractors, often these are quite big businesses who can afford the lawyers and consultants for documenting procedures to follow when trying to get a non-performer out. Yes, more jobs, but higher costs for no more output. Eventually, fewer jobs. Think it thru .
Who is "they"? What is voluntarily forcing? I would think most forcing is voluntary, unless person A holds a gun to person B and orders B to use his gun to use force on person C.
Hi again, Oh Eudaimonia:) (what is your real first name, by the way? Mine is Mike) I've also aimed my barb to folks who love Atlas Shrugged, but who haven't really really argued against Rand's propositions. Folks who happily trot out Rand's ideas as answers to everything from war to water problems, but who haven't actually read or thought about the individual problems they are trying to answer!
It's aimed at everyone who feels that Atlas Shrugged is an immediate answer to societal problems. People who don't care much for thinking that is both comprehensive and logical get to pick and choose what's in the book. What I may see as an indictment may seem a Democratic Answer to the next person!

I'm having trouble discerning who your facetious comment is aimed at.
