When they make the 80,000 letters public, can those of us who wrote ATF or who contacted the White House take credit for single-handedly stopping (at least for the moment) this? I say no. It's important to participate in gov't, but doing so doesn't mean you take the blame or credit for every decision gov't takes.
And if your letter does not appear, that doesn't mean you're out to deny gun rights. It's not that simple.
BTW, I'm glad for the victory. We have to stay on top of it indefinitely to keep it.
