    Completely naive. First Cruz has to give the GOP something they can blackmail him with, or he won't be considered at all. Then he has to compromise all his principles for the rest of his life.

    No matter who the GOP candidate is. The progressive media will convince the American people that he is the devil.
    John McCain thought he was loved by the media, but found out that life was different once he was the nominee.

      John McCain was old and senile, but loyal. He was involved in the S and L crisis and that was the insurance the party needed for blackmail. He had no chance to win and the GOP knew it. It was the Dem wing's turn to be president for 2 terms so they ran someone that was a pathetic waste. Same as when Dole and Romney ran, loser looters.

    Interesting strategy. The only problem I see is that the GOP field is pretty open right now. Some of the people Cruz would want on his team will probably run themselves. I do hope the GOP settles the nomination early so they can run as a united group.
