Hello all! My name is Matthew Souders. ..I am here at the invitation of Kaila Halling, who I met as a member of the conservative libertarian fiction alliance on Facebook. I am a meteorologist by education and occasional trade (the atmospheric science market is awful right now) living in New Hampshire. While I search for work in my field of training, I am taking up a career as a professional fiction writer and freelance analyst. I have also worked with the New York Yankees as a statistician, so I do have other options. :)

I'm a conservative catholic, but not quite a Republican. Kaila brought me here because, and I quote, "you always challenge me"...so there's that.

    Greetings Mamaemma - yep, I've read "Atlas Shrugged" (and found it downright eerie how prophetic it has turned out to be of late). I preferred The Fountainhead (Rand needed an editor for AS...some stuff could have been trimmed without losing the meaning)...but wish more of us had read both. Although I do not subscribe to pure objectivism, Kaila and I have had many heated (and productive) conversations on the topics of that day that wound up revolving around the parts of objectivist thinking that have proven important of late. :)
