Based on what I have detected in our society in the past 10 years none of this surprises me one bit.

in the sense of a new life form, the fertilized egg
is a life, I believe. . I just despise those who would
create life in order to steal organs and toss the rest. -- j

Another viewpoint. Rights of Citizens. When does a fetus becomes viable should premature birth occur? At that point the unborn child becomes a citizen with all rights of any citizen. In this case they cannot be executed or more accurately murdered without trial, judge, jury and the rest of it. Plenty of time prior to that point in time and that can still be argued and discussed. But post viable especially using the barbaric methods is unacceptable. If accepted like any law it can be stretched. Perhaps one year after delivery? Perhaps ten?

As for barbaric our so called Hippocratic Oath bound doctors should take lessons from the Chinese. I look at those who support late term which includes 1/10th of a second from breathing and find amazing similarities the those who accused us of being baby killers. I always wondered if that term came from looking in a mirror.

My own individual belief is ok up to viability not ok afterwards given the usually medical reasons which do not include fitting in prom dresses. But I much prefer birth control or for some vasectomy or ligation. I am not opposed to discussion other legal endings.

The Bush example was just one of many where the truth was a stranger to the Spin Doctors of th left. But then spin is just another way of spelling deceit.

I supported Bush when he banned harvesting stem cells from aborted babies and instead favored harvesting them from umbilical cords. His concern, as was mine, was that an industry would be born from harvesting stem cells from abortion or that people would abort in order to profit. While I have nothing against making a profit and I cannot see letting something go to waste I feel it is morally wrong to soften the choice to take an unborn life, even if something good comes out of it for someone else.

I am completely against any one or any group patenting the human DNA or growing people for parts.

    My 2 bits.
