When I was in high school they called my father in because I was reading "Lord of the Flies" at school (on my own) and they thought that was inappropriate... now teachers are giving this stuff out.

She will be fine because you are staying on top of it. A good parent trumps everything! And don't think private schools are necessarily better.

After several years of asking my daughter what she did at school every day, she finally had had enough. She said to me, Dad, I promise I am doing all my work, why do you feel like you have to check up on me every day when I get home. I had to explain to her that I wasn't checking up on her, I was checking up on her teachers. Unfortunately, I haven't been in a position to send my daughter to a private school or homeschool, but it terrifies me to hear about the garbage they are learning every day. I look though her backpack every night. My favorite was when she came home with a permission slip I had to sign for her to take Sex Ed in 4th grade. I didn't sign that one. Our school systems are infested with liberal ideology and moral relativism. And then we wonder why our children fall behind other nations.

That's just unacceptable. It's not only gay, it's S&M. It's repulsive and I had a gay brother whom I loved as a brother.

    Whoa. This is very inappropriate.

As an aside, I thought poetry was supposed to rhyme, and why bother xxx'ing out some of the words?

The assault on the young that is going on in this country is inexcusable and heartbreaking.
