Anyone who wants a real Gulch hideout might try Howland Flat or Gibsonville, CA. Drop dead beautiful and very remote and unknown, lots of gold, copper and platinum, timber, water.

Not hardly. But if you want to buy a mining claim, I could route you in the right direction. My claims are not for sale, but our geologist and friends have some for sale. There is land for sale in the mountains, around La Porte. Prices have tanked.

Don't know where you live and work. But there are a bunch of Californias. Most of CA is a very red state, the coast in several pockets is an urban blue state. We have the best weather in the country, no tornados, hurricanes, most is earthquake free. The north state is great country and rural. Nevada is cool, too. Great mining country, one county I know has a total population of only 1,000. They have very little bureaucracy, no one to staff it. Northern Cal is larger than most states. Sierra County is a paradise and has a population of 2,500. It's bigger than some states.

Yeah, Northern California is huge and sparesly populated. The nearest "town" to Gibsonville and Howland Flat has a population of 26 year round. Howland Flat is 10 miles from La Porte. Check them out on a map.
