Same here. That's why my keyboard at home is a clacky Unicomp. It's a perfect replica of the old IBM model M. :-)

Two thumbs up for Verizon. Someone in their PR department has a great sense of humor.

    A NEW OZYMANDIAS
Another millstone around the neck of Ms. Liberty.
Crying for our once-free country. Douse the lamp and bow her head, as the statue becomes...just another statue.

Only if its not a DemRep Party administration.
The Dems and Reps love to grab power and push around private enterprise. The only other chance is if Bell et al make massive donations to DemReps and agree to a federal chokehold on free speech.
Its really primarily about stopping free speech and ensuring no impediments to federal-bankster-nwo brainwashing.

I work in IT, with laptops all around, and people stare as I enthusiastically but forcefully type on mine.. getting the comment 'you must have learned to type on a typewriter!' to which I smile..

Wherever the Marxist dictator wannabe sees freedom and capitalistic prosperity, he enslaves it and twists it all up to suit his arrogant will.
A "wannabe" The One shall no longer be should his rule continue on past his second term.
That would likely be due to some Cloward and Piven emergency.
    Or something else horrendous.
    Well timed?

I have my grandfather's typewriter. It's from the 1920s, and still works beautifully.
Many a time spent in high school using it. Sitting on the floor, a bottle of Coke at hand, banging out a term paper. :-)

    Yes, I saw that.

Now what I did *not* see, and would have *liked* to see, is a more-specific statement than "Verizon remains committed to customer service."

I am a Verizon FiOS customer. If they announced plans for legal action, and asked me to list myself as a co-plaintiff, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

So why did they not even say, "We are reviewing our options, legal and other"?

If the government wants to control the internet which has been built with private funds and private brains, then I must quote from AS2:

If you believe you can seize my property just because you need it, well then so does any burgler.
If you feel you have the right to use force against me then show it for what it is.
    Bring Guns.
