Barack Obama: Muslim elders too 'boring' to win Isil propaganda war

This just sounds crazy to me. President Obama thinks groups like ISIS are recruiting young members because they are good at using social media. No matter how it is packaged this type of extremism should never appeal to anyone. Once again he believes religion does not play a role. Clueless.

He may be saying what Eboo Patel said when he wrote, "Adults pay lip service to the importance of involving youth in faith communities, but let themselves off the hook when it comes to actually building strong, long-lasting youth programs. Youth activities are typically the top item in a congregation’s newsletter, but the last line in the budget. Youth programs are the most likely to be funded by short-term grants, and youth ministers are the first to be fired when a religious community has financial problems."

I agree if we were talking about kids getting involved with drugs or building self esteem. Throwing in with terrorist who kill innocent women and children goes way beyond that. I think Obamas upbringing gave him a lot of respect for the Muslim religion and he can't accept the fact that a dangerous percentage have become this radicalized.

And why no mention of the total lack of morality it takes to get involved in terrorism in the first place? That's a damn big piece of the puzzle that just gets glazed over with how they just need jobs or an education (as if that would make a flip of difference).

I can never decide who I hate more...the ones who say this nonsensical bull shit or the ones who gobble it up as if their words actually have some profound meaning.

Sadly, bo is not 'clueless'...he's a master mind of how to manipulated the mindless...just like the recruiters are. (Convince the world's underdogs that the power to crush their betters is possible, and all they have to do to accomplish this is to buy into, and obey, some horribly idiotic ideas.)

After his comment at the Prayer breakfast and now this I wonder just how serious he takes all this. I get the feeling he is suggesting that we should not judge the terrorists too harshly and all we need is to use Facebook and Twitter to prevent them from recruiting.

He said we have to push back against "vicioius brutal death cults". How much harsher can he get without sounding like he's carrying on about the obvious?

A lot has happened on his watch. He referred to the Fort Hood shooting as "work place violence". When a fired worker who recently converted to Islam killed and cut off the head of a former co-worker it was "work place violence". The recent shootings in France was just a "random act of violence". I agree that at times he talks tough but it's more important to recognize the problem and the enemy and I'm not sure he does.
