A novel way to vent

I can't imagine what the mother went through mentally, but I thought it was a novel/inventive way of getting closure.

The mom can rest easy knowing that Bubba will take care of the molester - no doubt many times. The house is an inanimate object - replace it with a beautiful garden and plaque honoring the child. I know if something like this happended to my daughter I certainly would go postal.

Perhaps it was Closer for her. It does not need to make sense to you or me. Since she said it was, then bravo to her - it was a Clever Plan, well conceived and executed.

Now she needs to get her hands on the bastard who did the rape murder and pull his head off like a pop-um bead.

Oh, that was no fun at all. I thought she burned it down with him in it; THAT would be fun!

The pain will never go away but I do hope this eases that poor little girls Mama in some way. Closure can come in many ways and I'm glad she had this opportunity to find it. And I agree with everyone on here, too bad that bastard wasn't inside it.

it is a pity that he wasn't in the house while it burned.

The lady said she and her mother had to look at the house, where the little girl was molested and murdered, from their kitchen window,
Burning downthat house may not seem Mr. Spock ice cold logical, but I can empathize that changing that kitchen window view meant a lot on an emotional level.
Besides, burning that house down isn't all that is to be done with that property. It's to be beautified in some way in memory of that little girl.
    Dumb big-hearted dino can relate.
I agree there will never be true close, though.

Would've been better if the murderer was inside during the event.

It would have been fine with me if the rapist/killer was in it!

The house had been owned by the killer's parents.
I do agree with you on "closure" - there is some pain that never goes away.

What? Now we're punishing houses that wasn't even owned by the murderer. This whole idea of closure has never made any sense to me.

That is gut wrenchingly sad :( I don't think there's any such thing as closure in these cases.
